Athletics Weekly’s lean team of reporters were able to use Format from inside the most watched venues in the world to create assets faster than competitors and break news on social channels first.

Having prepared and refined designs during championships leading up to the Olympics, the team were able to use Format’s web based app across all devices, as the moments which mattered happened. Negating the challenges of slow loading software or waiting for emails to and from designers – and with confidence the results would always be pixel-perfect.

Their speed to publish gave their posts algorithmic advantage leading to greater reach and contributed to 15,000 new followers across platforms. Additionally, Athletics Weekly’s posts were the first athletes and National Olympic Committees saw, with many – including Team GB’s record breaking 4x400m team members, Carl Lewis and Team Botswana celebrating Letsile Tebogo’s iconic 200m Gold Medal – accepting Instagram collaboration requests with the magazine and website.
